
Receptions following funerals or memorial services range from simple coffee, punch and cookies for an hour at the funeral home or a light lunch of finger food for a stand up reception, to a full buffet meal with staff and beverages.
We know this is a hard time for families – too many things to do in a short period of time and under emotional distress.
Our event planners can help you with menu choices and quantities, either over the phone or during a brief meeting. For larger catered receptions, you may need to plan for staff for the set up and clean up, leaving the family free to greet attendees.
The following menus range from very simple to more substantial. Of course, we are always happy to adjust the menus to make everything just right for you and your family. If you would like us to create a custom menu for you, we would be happy to do so.

SIMPLE FUNERAL RECEPTION MENUS
These menus are suitable for a stand-up funeral reception at the church or funeral home. They are easy to eat and are suitable to be served on disposable plates if preferred. You do not need serving staff unless you have a large number of guests. If so, you may choose to have servers come to set up and clean up so you will not have to worry and can spend time with family and friends.
